One in three Atlanta-area businesses has been hit by a network virus, according to a recent survey by Uptrends.

The survey found that 20 percent of virus-caused network disruptions experienced by Atlanta-area businesses affected multiple business units.

More than 80 percent of respondents said the network viruses had caused a half-day of downtime, while 10 percent said they lost an entire day of productivity
